I am 52 years of age and I had liposuction of the stomach and low back and fat transfer to the buttocks. When I look down I can see some irregularities to the stomach region, and my skin is wrinkled. I had this surgery on 10/18/2011. Is this too soon to expect a flat non-wrinkled stomach? I hate to keep calling my doctor and I know I have to be patient, but I am a little worried. I have resumed working out this week, because I didn’t want to start back too soon and ruin my fat transfer. I have been trying really hard to be very careful with any activities. Am I wanting too much too fast?
Hi Susan
If you’re still seeing those irregularities and wrinkles I would recommend you go back to the doctor/surgeon who performed the liposuction for you and discuss the problem with them. The surgeon has a responsibility to perform the operation to your satisfaction, and if you’re not 100% happy they should have no complaints about further surgery (in fact pretty much every surgeon I know will be only too pleased to have you back so they address any issues with you – after all happy customers are very good for their business).
